Do I need to be worried about toxic contaminants?
Does an ozone generator need to be all glass?
What is ozone resistance and why is it important?
Ozone compatibility is the question and a valid concern. Ozone compatibility just talks about materials do or don't break down when exposed to ozone. Ozone is a very strong oxidant, so it can easily break down materials. You could produce contaminants if you have the wrong materials in an ozone generator. Ensuring the internal components are 100% ozone resistant is vital to purity.
Our ozone generators have been built with this concern in mind. Each of our ozone generators use 100% ozone resistant materials - quartz glass, titanium, and silicone. Each component has an "A" rating, which means it will not interact with ozone! You get 100% pure ozone!
So the question is, how do I know what is ozone resistant?
Well, I wanted to provide a couple 3rd party websites so you can validate the resistance of these materials:

You may have noticed, we have an ozone generator called the "Ozonette." This machine has a IIb CE certification on it, which means that it is medically certified in Europe! Many years of work and resources went into getting this certification for the Ozonette. To date, it is the highest standard of certification that has EVER been given to an ozone generator.
A large part of getting the Ozonette IIb certified was safety. Safety is the number one concern. We had to ensure every aspect of the machine was safe for use, including the ozone resistance. The CE Medical Federation, which is the highest authority on ozone to date, did some digging and found both 316SS and Titanium to be ozone resistant.
Did you know that NASA uses titanium in their airlocks because of it's excellent oxidation resistance? This high grade titanium is also used for joint replacements because of it's excellent resistance. Simply O3 uses titanium to ensure 100% purity from each ozone generator.
I understand the overwhelming nature of this topic. Purity and safety is our #1 concern.
